 IMPERIAL ASSAULT becomes a wargame

Sotto gli auspici del vulcanico Lukam, socio del Miles, il boardgame Assalto Imperiale venerdì scorso si è fatto wargame. Naturalmente non c'è alcunché di ufficiale.

Ovvero: la legione è in marcia! Ho appena ritirato il pacco in arrivo dalla Victrix. 3 scatole di legionari repubblicani (e relativi trasferibili) che vanno ad aggiungersi agli equites arrivati prima di Natale (erano in avanscoperta evidentemente).

Or: the legion is coming! I just received the shipment from Victrix. 3 republican legionaires boxes (and their transfers) that join the equites arrived before Christmas (they were on reconnaissance apparently).

Ho pensato anche di sfruttare al meglio i bei trasferibili della Little Big Men Studio. In pratica avremo una legione rossa ed una bianca con alleati più in tecnicolor.

I also thought to get advantage of the beautiful Little Big Men Studio transfers. In practice we shall get a red legion and a white one, supported by technicolor allies.

Dalla regia mi dicono che adesso mi tocca dipingerli (veramente?).

L'anno scorso ho realizzato 24 modelli, quindi, con un rapido calcolo:

38 x 4 =  152

+2 ali di cavalleria (16 modelli) = 168

168/24 =7

Ne riparliamo in 7 anni. Non trattenete il respiro mentre aspettate... (sospiro)

The Director tells me that now I have to paint all of them (really?). I did 24 models last year, and so, with a quick calculation:

38 x 4 =  152

+2 chivalry wings (16 modelli) = 168

168/24 =7

See you again in 7 years. Don't hold your breath while waiting... (sigh)

I ragazzi alla Victrix mi stanno spedendo una carrettata di legionari repubblicani romani. Sono stati così carini da mandarmi una foto della scatola.
La vera domanda è, in considerazione della pila di piombo e plastica non dipinta che minaccia di rovinarmi sulla testa da un momento all'altro, era veramente necessario comprare altri soldatini?
Bhè, li vendono, la sterlina è bassa per la Brexit e c'erano gli sconti di Natale, servono davvero altri motivi?

The guys at Victrix are sending me a truckload of Roman Republican legionnaires.
The have been so kind to send me a WIP photo, nice.
The question was: I really had the need to buy new 28 mm miniatures, with the lead and plastic unpainted stack reacing worring proportions?
They sell them, the pound is low for the brexit and there was a Xmas discount, do you really need other reasons?
